One of my greatest joys is bringing a creative project to life. My favorite creative outlets are poetry, rapping, comedy, generating new ideas, and planning fun events and activities. Recently, my family and I have been prototyping a new board game called Heatwave, I’ve been performing at comedy open mics here in Asheville, and working on a children’s book. This past summer we threw The 2019 Party, an epic friends and family reunion 15 years in the making!
Songs and videos
For years, my friends and I have periodically produced songs and videos as an outlet for fun and creativity. Enjoy a few of our favorites.
The 2019 Party
The 2019 Party was a friends and family reunion 15 years in the making. The party took place on June 26-30, 2019 on Kent Island, part of Maryland’s Eastern Shore. People came from across the country and as far away as Italy for days of fun, reunion and connections with friends new and old. It featured a parade, singalong, fireworks, variety show, treasure hunt, and more. Visit the party website for more.
Comedy and spoken word
On and off over the years I’ve dabbled in poetry and spoken word, performing at open mics and sharing with friends. More recently I’m getting into comedy, and recently performed my first 3-minute open mic set at The Odditorium in Asheville. Catch me there on Tuesday nights!
In the Pipeline
Currently working on a children’s book called Leftover Larry, the Thanksgiving Fairy, prototyped a board game called Heatwave, and putting plans for a podcast on paper. We’ll see what happens. Feels like there’s not enough time in the day!
